Who Said What? Quotes from Famous Historical Women

Who Said What? Quotes from Famous Historical Women

“It’s not easy to be a pioneer — but oh is it fascinating.” - Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman to earn a medical degree in the US.

Every year in the US, Women’s History Month has a theme. This year, it’s “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories.” The 2023 theme honors women who have been active in media and storytelling.

Wow! That includes almost every single one of the women featured on our Uncle Goose Women Who Dared set!

The women we feature are especially gifted at crafting their messages and getting them out to the public. If they didn't do it themselves, they became legends for their deeds.

Storytelling is important. It's how we get to be know about these important women in the first place!

Each of the blocks in the Women Who Dared set features a quote from a famous historical woman. Can you match the quote with the woman who said it?

Quiz yourself! Who said it? (Scroll to the end to get the answers! No peeking!)
